If you already have an idea of where you want to live, then you don't need the list from HUD. Once you've targeted the subsidized housing of your choice, go and do a thorough once over of the place. This is to ensure that the place you want to move to is a good place. Sometimes just looking on the outside of the housing can be deceiving. You have to go inside and really check it out. You wouldn't want to move in housing where it's pretty outside but nothing works inside. You can also look online for reviews on the subsidized housing to get a feel for what the residents think. Sometimes you wouldn't pick up on these things when you go do your own walk through. For example, you wouldn't know just by looking at the subsidized housing if the maintenance took care of things right away.
